Technorati Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , ]]> Open Question: is milk actually healthy for you? http://google.dopodblog.com/is-milk-actually-healthy-you.html I'm almost used to swollen tonsils now-- I've had 2 cases of swollen tonsils (which I've never told anyone about) somewhere between 2009 and 2010; but I've never had any white spots on either of them. This is the first time only ONE of my tonsils have swollen up. During the swelling, I tried to drink cool/cold drinks to try and reduce the swelling (even though I didn't know for a fact whether cool or warm temperatures would reduce swelling better).
During the few days of swelling, my tonsil caused me the usual swollen tonsil pain but I've never had any white spots, not even sure what they would look like since google likes to overexagerate on the pictures.
I thought it was going to go away in about a week or so with the usual side affects (mild sore throat and ect) but last night, I woke up feeling overheated and a migraine (undiagnosed) and I could've sworn my heart was beating so fast, it made my chest hurt. My parents borrowed my grandma's old pulse rate measuring machine and it said my pulse was 115 or so per minute. I don't know if that's suppose to be normal or not. They even checked my temperature which was 98.5 F.
I also got but by a mosquito twice. I live in Florida and I'm not sure if the mosquitoes here carry malaria or not.
I've checked the symptoms for malaria and swine flu. I have some of the symptoms for each one but there could be others I don't know about.
Right now, I have a migraine on the right side of my head and a dry cough (which I think is caused my less swollen tonsil), and a runny nose.
I don't know whether this might help or not but I'm 13 turning 14 and have taken all of my vacinations up till now.

Open Question: is milk actually healthy for you?

OK, I heard this subject many times before. When i say milk, i mean cow milk. My Uncle, who is a hardcore vegan, tells me every now and then that milk is extremely unhealthy for you, saying that it was meant for cows to drink, not humans. he says that it can cause health problems such as cancer or liver failure. And just recently, my science teacher tells me that milk is filled with things like hormones or other chemicals that they give the cow.

Now, I tried to do some research on Google and other search engines, but I've only found a few websites, and question weather they are legit or not. I even tried looking for some books at my local library about milk or dairy products. My uncle, who I mentioned before, shows me videos about slaughter houses, and how they treat the cow, and what they give the cow to produce more milk. The videos were a little outdated and obviously low budget.

So, what do you think? Do you think the dairy company is lieing to us all, just so they can make money? Or do you think milk is actually good for you? I want your opinion or facts that you know
